The Demonic Contract

Introduction

The Demonic Contract is a story mod pack created by Leothelion (Discord: Leo the Lion#4953). The mod pack is currently version 0.46.2.1, which plays on Bonfire 0.46.2. Suggestions are welcome!

Story

The story follows the adventures of Kayden in fulfilling the terms of the Demonic Contract that he has signed with Mazrad unwittingly. As expected of a mischievous incubus, Mazrad puts Kayden through a series of sexual trials and tribulations, most notably on a quest for survival on an island inhabited by sex-hungry orcs led by Grummush. Will Kayden survive to tell the tale?

Mod Installation Steps

1. Download the Kayden profile at the Bonfire Orc Repository: https://github.com/shadowlost25/Bonfire-orc-repository/raw/master/Custom%20Orcs/Kayden.orc
2. Save the Kayden.orc file to the Bonfire Meta Files Location.
   1. Run the game.
   2. In the title screen:
      1. Select Mods.
      2. Select Open Meta Files Location.
         1. Windows: C:\Users\<Your User Name>\AppData\LocalLow\Prasetto\Bonfire
         2. Mac: Users/<Your User Name>/library/cache/prasetto/Bonfire
         3. Linux: /home/<Your User Name>/.config/unity3d/Prasetto/Bonfire

How to Play

Starting the First Playthrough

1. Run the game.
2. In the title screen:
   1. Select Profiles.
   2. Under Saved Characters, select Kayden.
   3. Select Accept.
   4. Select Continue.
3. Once the profile is loaded:
   1. Press the Tab or I key to open the inventory menu.
   2. Right click the Macro Scroll named The Demonic Contract. The following actions will be run automatically behind the scenes:
      1. Unzips The Demonic Contract mod files stored within the Kayden.orc file, including NPC and tattoo files, into the Meta Files Location folder.
      2. Activates The Demonic Contract mod NPCs in the NPC Manager.
      3. Displays the "The Demonic Contract mod initialized and activated!" message.
      4. Teleports the player to the Outback and reloads the game.
      5. Starts the mod gameplay.

Role-Playing Notes

For the best role-playing experience, these guidelines should be followed:

1. The bottom menu should not be used (i.e. Inventory, Torch, Self Action, Memorized Location Portals, Lay Down and Skip Time, Save Game).
2. Console commands should not be used by pressing F1.

Saving and Loading the Game Progress

1. Saving and loading the game can be performed by talking to Mazrad at the appropriate moments in the storyline.

Deactivating and Reactivating the Mod

To deactivate or reactivate the mod:

1. Press the Tab or I key to open the inventory menu.
2. Right click the Macro Scroll named The Demonic Contract. The following actions will be run automatically behind the scenes:
   1. If the mod is active:
      1. Deactivates The Demonic Contract mod NPCs in the NPC Manager.
      2. Displays the "The Demonic Contract mod deactivated!" message.
   2. If the mod is inactive:
      1. Activates The Demonic Contract mod NPCs in the NPC Manager.
      2. Displays the "The Demonic Contract mod activated!" message.
   3. Teleports the player to the Outback and reloads the game.

Starting a New Playthrough

1. Replace the Kayden.orc file in the Meta Files Location folder with a fresh copy of the Kayden.orc file downloaded from the Bonfire Orc Repository.

Hints (Spoilers Alert!)

The story is currently designed to be largely linear with some alternative story paths but with many dialogue options. Dialogue options are largely cosmetic with no major impact to the story outcomes. These are some hints to experience the available story paths.

Top or Bottom Preference

1. After signing The Demonic Contract, the first dialogue option determines Kayden's top or bottom preference, which significantly affects how he reacts to various situations with the NPCs.
   1. After picking one of the first 4 options, the 1st option corresponds to top preference, and the 2nd option corresponds to bottom preference.
   2. Picking the last option corresponds to bottom preference.
2. There is an additional quest during Kayden's first encounter with the orcs if he prefers to top.

Teleportation Portal

1. There is someone you can meet outside of the teleportation portal. He is interested to speak with Kayden when he is glowing brightly.

First Set of Island Quests

1. If Kayden does not eat or drink for an extended period of time on the island, Kayden will feel weak and thirsty. Direct him to sources of fluids to replenish his energy.
2. There are two story paths on the island. Kayden can either focus on helping his high school friend out or socializing with the other orcs.
   1. If Kayden goes directly to help his high school friend, he will be captured by the Chieftain orc and miss out on opportunities to learn about the other orcs. Interact with these NPCs in this order to fully complete this path. If Kayden talks to the Chieftain orc anytime after helping the young orc, then Kayden will be captured and the opportunity to interact with the other orcs is lost.
      1. High school friend.
      2. Red-haired orc.
      3. Young orc.
      4. Red-haired orc.
      5. High school friend.
      6. Blue-haired orc.
      7. Chieftain orc.
   2. If Kayden socializes too much with the other orcs, he will become disoriented and miss out on opportunities to help his high school friend and the other orcs.
      1. These orcs can socialize with Kayden multiple times before becoming neutral.
         1. Chieftain orc: Up to 3 times
         2. Warrior orc: Up to 2 times
         3. Blue-haired orc: Up to 2 times
         4. Shaman orc: 1 time
      2. The maximum number of times that Kayden can socialize with these orcs before becoming disoriented is 7. Kayden will give a clear indication that he feels uncomfortable at the 7th time.
   3. To experience most of the content:
      1. Socialize with the Chieftain, Warrior, blue-haired and Shaman orc 7 times.
      2. Help out Kayden's high school friend but only talk to the Chieftain at the end of the quest chain.
3. The coach offers much information about the orcs.

Bath House

1. There are two pools at the bath house. There may be interesting events at both pools.
2. There are two story paths at the bath house depending on how you play the sex synchronization mini-game. One of these paths leads to an additional scene.
