After you first talk to Bo, if I remember right you're supposed to climb up the hill to the left of his circle and follow a path until you reach the Stargaze Circle (there should be a totem you can pick up near it that induces drooling).
After that, I forget which specific constellation stone you're supposed to activate and copy, but I recommend not activating all of them or else you'll clutter the sky with more useless stars than you need and make the connecting puzzle harder.
