The Outback
The new Outback (as of version 0.31.0) is the overworld of bonfire.
The Maze
The Player starts at the center of the map and must travel through a sunken maze as they progress though the main story, including the following locations:
- Start Circle
- Celik's Circle
- Stiff Fruit Tree
- Oriol's Circle
- Flint and Tinder overlook (first maze exit is nearby)
- Bo's Circle
- Kult (just outside of second maze exit)
Wide Open World
After exiting the maze there are some steep hills and mountains but most areas are very easily accessible. These areas are currently (v0.36.4) outside of the main quest or are incomplete but include most of the consumables, four other maps, and several side quests.
The Southwestern outback includes the Stargazing circle and Durian and will eventual be rejoined into Bo's arc of the main quest.
The Western hills eventually give way to the beach which teleports you to the Ring Island and the first of the Genie fragments. Just above the cliffs of the beach is a portal for the Bath House.
The Northern outback is dominated by forested valleys containing many consumables, a portal to the Inn, Bolt's Camp, and the lake.
The (for now) last point of interest is the Levant Tower standing on the cliffs at the far eastern side of the outback. Upon entering the tower, the player will be teleported to meet the second genie fragment and gain new abilities.
